I have a 2001 Coachmen 249QB Catalina Lite with an intriguing brake situation. Both Tekonsha and Delta suggest that individual brake magnet resistance should be around 3.4 Ω. Since there are four magnets in parallel, the equivalent resistance should be a little less than one ohm. After isolating the magnets with a wire cutter, the values I got were LF-47.7 Ω, RF -9.8 Ω, LR-4.7 Ω, and RR-10.2 Ω. Doing the math, the R[eq] is 2.3 Ω which is what I read at pins 1 & 2 at the Bargman Plug prior to cutting the wires. The controller isn't too tickled with anything over one ohm, so it sends no current to the circuit. Inclement weather has kept me from moving the trailer to a better location to pull a wheel to see what's going on, but the clouds have cleared and tomorrow's the day! Has anyone seen this kind of disparity in magnet resistances? Let me know, if you feel like it. Thanks a lot!
